Welches con man strikes again

And the victim checks the internet afterward, finding our blog archives on the guy too late:

Ran into David Wilson from Welches last night [Tuesday night] in front of Biwa. His truck had been stolen, and he needed $20 to get from Sandy to Welches. He’s in the wood floor finishing biz. He’s going to send me $40. His hair is curly this year! He’s quite the smoothy. Ah well.

It sounds like he's using a slightly new post economic crisis twist in his approach by telling people that he'll give them $40 if they spot him $20. This guy could have had a seat in the ENRON boardroom or a Nigerian computer cafe if the universe had aligned things differently.
