Chickens come home to roost

Remember the New York City cop who whacked the guy off his bike in the Times Square Critical Mass ride last summer? He's been indicted.

One more predator off the streets. It's nice to see official misconduct punished. I'm sure his union president is out there bashing the prosecutor.

I doubt the attorney's suggestion there was a justified reason for the cop's actions. There are very few things the rider could have done to deserve this. There is no mention of the rider pointing a weapon at the officer, or of any other violent behavior.

My question is about cop number 2. Is he still on the job? Not taking proper and immediate enforcement action (he clearly witnessed) makes him as bad as the perp who attacked the rider.
