When the 4th Estate decides to do its job, the true story of the Attorneys General could still come out. Yes, there was selective prosecution, but the main story here was vote caging to steal the election of 2004 in Ohio, Florida, and elsewhere. Incidentally, one patriotic GOP twist is that some of the suppressed voters who couldn't respond to letters sent to their home addresses, were soldiers away fighting in Iraq. The press never explored why there had to be a sudden purge of competent Justice Department people. Yes, it was partly to install political hacks who would obey the White House, but it was also to get rid of the prying eyes of more competent Justice Department people. The 2000 election, with its voter suppression in Florida under the direction of brother Jeb and Katherine Harris, was actually pristine in comparison to 2004. By then, this criminal gang of snakes was slithering down the corridors of power.
You missed the point, alias Butch. I'm sure selective prosecution has gone on even under your hero Bill Clinton. It's hard to eliminate politics from the Justice Department, but this administration didn't even try - they went the other way. Every possible advantage was employed to amass power in the White House to the detriment of the United States of America. The big story with this particluar example is stealing presidential elections.
So Bill....do you think that selective prosecution is worse than no prosecution? After all, if the man is guilty....
PS - take any political article from the New York Times with a grain of salt. I have a feeling that once that one gets properly vetted, the situation will not be nearly so sinister as the Times paints it.

"selective prosecution"....selective outrage. Where is your post decrying the questionable...if not outright phony...charges filed against Tom Delay?

Justice may be blind, but she now wears a red or blue cloak depending upon which party is in power.

It could turn out that way, of course, but so far there's no evidence of anyhing other than republican crime, fraud and general corruption.
