I was at Superbowl XXX and we had the Doobie Brothers as the warm up act. That was kinda cool. Diana Ross was the half-time entertainment...less cool, but they did have her picked up and swooped out of the stadium with a helicopter.
The Steelers lost that one, by an intercept. I was sitting in the Steelers section...scary to see so many men with tears streaming down their faces.
I went to see the Cirque folks once...made me feel bad that I haven't turned my body into a 5% body-fat muscle machine that can do things people shouldn't be able to do.
I want to see the Cirque Beatles show "Love" in Vegas. I got the soundtrack as a birthday present -- remixes of the Fab 4 classics by original producer George Martin and his son. Great fun.
But Cirque and the NFL? Right down there with Chubby Checker.
I've never seen Cirque du Soleil but any Super Bowl line-up that includes Prince can only be excellent. In the opinion of many, he's the best musician on earth.
Speaking of water-If you want two solid hours of non-stop stellar and unbelievable transfixing entertainment- check out "O" in Las Vegas-that is worth the trip. Fly in-see the show-fly out. Fabulous.

Do you think it will distract Bears fans enough to stop them from dipping fried chicken legs into a jar of mayo.
I don't.

Prince, yes. Marcel Marceau, no.

Cirque de Soleil is no Marcel Marceau, founder of the "Art of Silence." Cirque is looking at "two groups of percussionists"...not so silent.
I'll bet anyone here a buck that they blow people out of the water, as advertised. (A better bet than rooting for the Bears.)

I saw Ka two years ago in Vegas. Absolutely blew my mind and I highly recommend it if it's still playing...
