Who the heck is Wayne Madsen?
It shows you how little I know -- I never heard of the guy. But I've heard of Bill McDonald, and he's a big Madsen fan. Bill met the man himself the other night, and he wrote about it here. If you want to see for yourself what this writer's about, check out his website here. He sure seems to have the inside-the-Beltway dirt on the people who are wrecking this country. Anyway, Madsen will be in Portland for another appearance tonight, at 23rd Avenue Books. Seems worth going to hear.
If something good doesn't happen next week on the national level, we are doomed.

I wonder if Mary Starrett shares Bill's enthusiasm for Madsen's ravings.
With their shared 9/11 beliefs, I imagine they have much in common.
According to Madsen, US invasion of Iran in 3,2,1...
No film at 11.

"No film at 11" was a perfect comeback. If our news media was actually on the job instead of chasing Lindsay Lohan around we wouldn't have to turn to the Internet to try and figure out what's really happening. Do I know? All I can say is I'm on the case trying to sort through it all. Wayne Madsen is risking his life to get his information out. If you prefer the spin from the Bush White House, help yourself, but I turn to the Internet. The years when traditional media really did it's job are long gone. And by the way, they don't use film anymore. That's from another time, too.

The thing that sort of scares me is that this Madsen guy may very well not be your run of the mill conspiracy nut. There was a time when I would dismiss this type of thing without much thought, but in times like these I'm not so sure anymore. I'm definately intrigued to say the least, and I have no doubt that he is on the right team.

I read that he has an NSA background. My purpose for going was to see if he came across as a nice, rational, intelligent person or a delusional, paranoid weirdo. He was a good, interesting person as far as I could tell. After all, his work depends on friends inside the machine and he certainly seemed like someone capable of having good friends.
