Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
The Clackistani rebels appear to have bounced both incumbents on the county commission out of office. John Ludlow and Tootie Smith both have greater than 4% margins over Charlotte Lehan and Jamie Damon.
Lehan and Damon gave up their political careers for the Mystery Train to Milwaukie. They behaved like complete rogues in forcing that awful project on taxpayers who clearly didn't want it. And so the two of them got exactly what they deserved. Congratulations to the people who defeated them.

But where will these trolls find footing again?

How come we can't get good news like that in Multnomah County?

Because Multnomah County is the home of the Holy Church of Sustainability, whose congregation has adamantly refused to listen to any claims of abuse within its priesthood, considering anyone who makes such claims to be agents of the devil.

Sorry to say these clowns aren't going anywhere. Gov Retread or Metro will find (or already has) some cush job for them.
Haven't you noticed the smell just keeps on giving. Where is Stenchy when you need him? We seem to continue to recycle these folks instead of just flushing. Maybe they can write a job description for the Klingon Translator Multnomah County was seeking a while back, speaking of recycled careers.
Jack, do you have a pool up yet on what cush little job Kitz has for Sodomy Sam? I bet it will be popular.

This is great news and a wonderful outcome to that race. The two incumbents gave twenty million to Tri Met four days before there was to be a public vote on the matter. The fact that the voters turned them out is heartening.
The next light rail battleground will be Washington county. I hope the incumbent commissioners there were watching these races very closely.
Also, regarding recycling politicians. Wasn't it interesting that Hostika never mentioned in his advertising that he was on the Metro board? If he did, I sure didn't see it.

the news from Clark County is also very interesting. New majority there and NO to the Ctran sales tax! Clear message.

Those ousted officials will get in on the bonanza with MLR mark my words. Lots of people that 'got laid off' (according to mcfarlane) ended up getting in with the contractors on MLR. Story has never been reported.

Where else? The City of Portland.

Sam could probably always get a job as an usher over at that beery movie theater in Vancouver where he was earlier in the day that he went careening around N.Portland smashing his pick-up truck into cars with his pants undone:
