Dear Sisters of the American Province,

I have a list of people I admire for varied reasons, a few on that list to give you an idea, are Russell Jim of the Yakama Nation, Billy Frank of the Nisqually Nation, the late Wilma Mankiller of the Cherokee Nation, Jack Bogdanski of Portland, Oregon and on who's blog I read about Sister Megan Rice.

I am from a matriarchal society, besides my tribal spirituality, I was also raised in the Catholic religion. I have chosen to take the best from both. I would not have been aware of Sister Rice's heroic endeavors were it not for Jack's blog and his post here:

I would like to state that I plan to post this email on Jack's blog because I stand behind the Sister's actions fully and I hope that the United States of America, do not make this a political issue and prosecute her and her fellow humanitarians as terrorists.

While I cannot speak for the people here in the Pacific Northwest, we do have the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, one of the most toxic sites on the planet, and I feel strongly, that there are many here that made aware of the Sister's plight, would support her wholeheartedly in any way possible.

From our brothers and sisters, the Western Shoshone People ,stewards of the sacred land in Newe Segobia which received and survived the desecration by 1000 atomic bombs detonated within this Land , and the wisdom they share for this life experience of outrageous disharmony affronting the Loving Creator of all gifts for life on this Planet. May we spend our lives in passing on this wisdom shared with us through Corbin Harney.
