The worst forest fire danger of them all

That would be in Ukraine, Bob.

And not just particles from radioactive isotopes absorbed into the burning wood in the trees.

A forest fire creates a huge updraft, which sucks up a lot of really tiny bits from the ground. In Cherynobel, probably including a lot of bits of irradiated ground debris.

Ugly.
