"Urban Planning Overlord": You'll never figure out who I am
This is pretty funny. Mr. Brave Anonymous Troll tries to cover up the fact that he obviously dwells in Mountain Park.
Let's see... lives in Mountain Park, works in government "planning," used to work in the planning bureau at the City of Simi Valley, California, has had some connection with the Clackamas ESD, wife is a USC alumna -- and he thinks he can stay anonymous? In Portland?

I find it hilarious that anyone that was a "planner" for one of the Los Angeles exurbs would have a job anywhere.
Greater Los Angeles is every "planner's" nightmare.

The fact that he took a two year break from blogging is also a clue.

Currently an "unemployed planner" perhaps with little else to do except troll the blogs.
LOOSER!

If you were unemployed, and trying to get a job with the CoP's "Bureau of Planning And Sustainability", what better reference than to be running a blog attacking bojack.org? That would be real popular over there...

Note to self: Try not to piss off Lars, lawyers or lawyer teachers, especially Jack.

While we're exposing UPO's mistruths and exaggerations, it's a dead giveaway that someone has not done his or homework when They spout the common misconception that Lake Oswego is unaffordable to the middle class. Our average home price is very high because of the number of big, fancy homes in the area is high, but they do not make up the whole city. They just skew the numbers and make good press when people want someone to dump on. Professional planner? Not even close. Just another idiot with an agenda.

I am the Real Urban Planning Overlord. Anyone else who claims to be the Urban Planning Overlord is neither a planner nor an overlord. If you find any links to other urban planning overlords, redirect them to the Real Urban Planning Overlord.

Dear god, who even cares? The planner types have no need for us - So what do I care?

It's truly funny to watch these holier-than-thou planner types start laying on the personal attacks once they are questioned with real questions...they are incapable of providing real answers and thus resort to personal attacks because they can't actually justify their own projects and proposals.
On top of, of course, the fact that they choose not to participate in their own projects.

JK: Sorry, Fred, but Los Angeles planners are desired here because METRO is trying to make Portland into Los Angeles:
We could not depart Figures 12 through 14 without pointing out some apparent disparities between perception and measurement, namely, Los Angeles . When we measure the LA region, we find high densities and low per capita road and freeway mileage and travel times only slightly higher than average . By way of contrast, common perceptions of Los Angeles suggest low density, high per capita road mileage and intolerable congestion . In public discussions we gather the general impression that Los Angeles represents a future to be avoided
. By the same token, with respect to density and road per capita mileage it
displays an investment pattern we desire to replicate .
