Happy Martin Luther King Day

Comments (2)

This may just be my favorite James Brown song of them all. It's not even a song -- it's a rap. In 1968.

It took a lot of guts, and it no doubt cost the Godfather some fans and some money, but it was something that needed to be said. Nobody could say it the way he did. And he even brought kids in.

Martin Luther King died about four months before this was recorded.

Happy MLK day right back to ya. One of my favs as well. He had a way of sending home the message.

I was just listening to this one in my car the other day, and moving about the front seat accordingly. I still have some pretty good JB moves for a pasty old white guy. Other drivers may have thought otherwise.
