Raiders of the loss? Awk!
Nearly a quarter of the players in our charity pro football 'dognostication competition are going with the East Bay pirates tonight:
7 OAKLAND at San Diego (Thursday) - Bob, Gary, Carol, Pete Rozelle, Bad Brad, Drewbob, John Cr., Weavmo
Since you've got to pay to watch this contest on the tube, we'll be forced to follow it vaguely on the internet. But it should be an absorbing game. Good luck, players!

Dish is offering it on NFL (154) as part of their second-level package. No extra charge.

I’ll be catching the second half at my local watering hole. GO RAIDERS!

Wow! Oakland sure is having a blast in the first half! 17-3. It'd be 21-3, if their fake punt had worked. They're controlling the line of scrimmage on both offense & defense so far, plus consistent pressure on Rivers.
For some reason I thought the game was going to be in Oakland instead. SD is 3-1 at home, so they should make some adjustments on the O & D lines and come out in the second half and score a couple TDs -- or else they'll consume themselves with doomy doubt as the crowd spirals into an angry funk. Entertaining game so far.

So, the Chargers come out in the 2nd half and march on down the field for a TD, and then promptly give one right back up to the Raiders. Now just 7 mins into the 3rd Q. Rah! Rah! Rah!

I love my RAIDERS, (now that Al Davis is deceased) and I like the fact that I’m "moving on up," on Jack’s charity scoreboard. As for my local watering hole, it’s a great place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there!

It was a fun game to watch to the very end. Congratulations to the winners tonight on a good pick!
I'll chalk up a -1 on my cumulative season's record of "Best Bets" -- sitting now at 11-12. Looks like the Chargers will be needing to pick up some OL help next year. Meanwhile, with back-to-back losses at home putting San Diego at 4-5, Norv Turner's now officially begun his annual plank walk down there.

Funny thing happened at the local watering hole while watching the RAIDERS victory. A CHARGERS fan bet me $5.00 they would win, having only a debt card to my name, I suggested 5 push-ups instead, he regretfully fulfilled his obligation, but for some reason, I just could not shake his hand afterwards,… bar carpet and all.

To me, the Raiders were the "no-brainer" pick this week, but as a Chargers fan I just COULD NOT make that selection.
Man, they are killin' me this year. Someone please push Norv into the ocean.

Nobody ever went broke betting against the Bolts.

Um, I'll take the Raiders for 7....?
