I just had to point this out from the Portland Tribune post: "they found the word "PIG" written on it with a permanent marker that would not rub off". Well, duh! That's why it's called PERMANENT marker.
Anyways, I do think that road does need to be reopened: http://trimetrider.blogspot.com/2011/10/sw-main-closure-near-occupy-portland.html
When one of them is pepper sprayed, beaten unconscious and arrested for the crime of blocking a bike path (while black) you'll know you are in Portland. Further assurance that you live there will be the 3 homeless witnesses who contradict the police officer's story on every relevant fact. Bonus comfort when a statement is released exonerating the officer who was just following department policy...
It is fitting that it has become a homeless camp. that is a statement in and of itself. Unless we are subscribing to the 'homeless people do it to themselves' club.
Sam has a unique way of creating jobs. Now we have two blocks of parks and one quarter of a ChinaTown block now homeless campsites.
The non-profits and other businesses serving these new "institutions" will only add jobs. Plus all the police, medic, social service jobs created will only add to Sam's Economic Plan. Then using Sam's and PDC's economic exponential factors, probably 1059 new jobs have been created.
The protesters have realized one of their goals, Job Creation. Great.
Anyone know of a tobacco shop that does custom cigar wrappers ?
I'm thinking of getting a big smelly old stogie with a US flag wrapper and going to the next city council meeting...
Engage in some free speech while smoking it..

When or if Sammy is ever in charge, nothing is ever going to be underv control.

They just need to send in a 17 year old to negotiate. Then they can pitch their tents in City Hall.

We all realize that the college kids will move on and this is just going to end up as a giant homeless camp, right?

End up a giant homeless camp? Normal folks moved on when this thing was over two days ago.

Sam Adams wants Portland to be a dirty homeless camp. He has achieved his goal.
When you realize that leftists see what's bad (victimized) as - good - it all makes sense.
Productive, clean and ethical is poison to them.

This occupation is a prelude to a train wreck. Train wrecks get ugly.

Train wrecks are usually toxic too. I don't recall a Portland Loo in that part of town.
