Underdoggers, get on it
It's only the second week of our annual charity pro football game, and quite a few of our players haven't made their selections yet. We've got other things on our plate and won't be sending out any personalized reminders -- so take this as the last warning coming from us. Picks for the week (including the Monday night game) are due at 10 a.m. Pacific time tomorrow.

Thanks for the reminder.
Question/suggestion: could we get a link to the current week's line in the sidebar? Not like it's that hard to scroll down, but it would be helpful.

Mojo's Best Bets:
(home teams in caps)
1. Bucs over VIKES (+3) -- Tampa's youth, strength & speed just too much, especially against a Minnesota team that had a total of 39 passing yards last week struggling to execute ol' Duck Bill Musgrave's new offensive scheme there.
2. FALCONS over Eagles (+2.5) -- Vick's return to Atlanta will be the drama of Week 2's Game Day, but the Falcons ball control with superb RB Michael Turner will limit Vick's opportunities. This game will be decided up front, as most are, with the Falcon's OL on the spot. Atlanta QB Matt Ryan should pick the Eagles LBs apart with a middle passing game off play-action. This game is critical to the Falcons, especially after last week's poor showing against the Bears by the entire team. As SI's Peter King put it: "I just think it's a backs-against-the-wall game for Atlanta, for a lot of reasons. They can't have Mike Vick come into his old house and own it, and Matt Ryan has to prove he can take the pressure of a game like this."
The Falcons are 20-2 at home under Ryan and Coach Mike Smith.
Upset Special:
Bears over SAINTS (+6.5) -- Should be a heck of a tilt, with a marquee match-up between Bears QB Jay Cutler & Saints QB Drew Brees. Defense will decide this game, and although the Saints edge blitzing will present major challenges for the Bears OL (and RBs on the pick-ups), Chicago's defense behind their leader, LB Brian Urlacher, will be intent on dedicating the game to Urlacher's mom who passed on earlier this week. The Saints' new new running game is dubious.
Gamblers Corner:
The Chargers (+7) might tempt aspirants, but it's tough for a west coast team to travel to the east coast and triumph in the NFL, especially when playing powerhouse cheaters like Belichik's Patriots.
On the other hand, the Cardinals (+4) over the Washington White & Black Red Men is an upset worth a hard look.
After Sunday's game against the Steelers, the NFL might require Paul Allen to change the name of the Seahawks (+14.5) to the Puddles.
After a record-setting debut in a loss to Arizona, Panthers (+9.5) QB Cam Newton will be introduced to the realities of a rookie QB's life in the NFL by the Packers World Champions' defense under Dom Capers.
Any chance that the Jaguars (+9) had to sneak up on the Jets were blown sky high by some trash-talking idiot of a "who he?" WR, alas:
"Jaguars no-name could ensure Jets' focus"

After this week, we'll use the sidebar for the lines. So far we've used it for a promotional spot. There's still time for new players to get in.
