CNN confirms that Portland, Oregon is in danger:

Get someone back out to the Sylvan Overpass. It's going to be a long night.
Mayor Adams is taking extra precautions. You know his goofy looking bad-weather hat? He's got it duct-taped to his head so it won't blow away.

A friend of ours in New Jersey writes: "Whoa. Auntie Em!"

I do have one serious question about all this: Is CNN expecting the hurricane to come down the coast from the north or will it hit us from the Gorge?

I'm convinced 2012 is real.

Just got a report that they are closing the reactors at Hanford, MD.

That's one big hurricane!!!

I heard a weather-hottie on TWC say Portland, Oregon too...then corrected herself about 2 seconds later.

I suppose now we'll find out that Krakatoa really was east of Java.
