New York State moving toward bicycle licensing

It's "for the children"!

More like "it's for the hipsters". Considering how the beardos are throwing temper tantrums in Brooklyn about getting more bike lanes they don't use, the money for the lanes has to come from somewhere. It's not like New York would allow the money to be stolen from the sewer fund.

It's about time somebody came to their senses. Now, if they could establish citations which were pegged to the value of the bicycle (like Scandinavian traffic tickets), then they could claim it's a 'progressive fine system'.

Yeah, but what is the value of a stupidly tall bike with 8" wheels?
