Too funny. Oh, how the whining will be heard. Go Beavers!

I think it was pretty much expected for them to end up #2, because of Auburn's schedule. Doesn't matter, #2 gets them in the Champeenship, provided things go their way next week.
You are correct, however, Duck fans need to follow OSU-fan's brilliant example of quiet and humble acceptance of being ranked #92.
That one, is essentially an impossibility (although never say never in the face of the BCS gods). Oregon has clinched the Pac-10 title regardless of next week, and won't get jumped by Stanford, since they beat them head-to-head... The Voters (yes, capital V there) would rather stab themselves in the balls with a fork then let one of them there Nancy-boy Little 'un Schools (TCU) in....
Worse case scenario would be the Ducks losing next week and plummeting 5 or so spots, to be within 80 or so of Oregon State. (See what I did there?) =)
If the Ducks beat OSU by, say, 1 or 2 points, the Ducks could well be no. 3. And I would laugh myself to sleep that night.
Keep the Ambien nearby then. Look at the BCS spread. Ducks would have to lose to drop the #2 spot. TCU is all done (and played only creampuffs anyway). Every other team has a loss.
Although my conspiracy theory is that Mike Riley threw the Stanford game to prep for the Civil War. 38-0?!
As a Beaver fan it's pains me to say this but if the Beavs can keep it within 35 points it will be a moral victory for OSU. My prediction is: Ducks 52 Beavers 6.
I learned all I needed to know about Duck fans three years ago. That was the year the team fell apart after Dennis Dixon got hurt. A remarkable number of UO die-easies sold their seats at Autzen for that year's Civil War.

It would have to be from the human polls; it is impossible that the point differential in the Ducks' final game will decide their ranking in the computer formulas because the formulas do not account for point differential at all.
You must believe a close win in a rivalry game will convince voters in the Coaches and Harris polls that the Ducks are unworthy of a shot in the BCS title game and compel them to vote Auburn #1 and TCU #2. That's literally the only way Oregon drops out of #2 in the BCS standings after a win in the Civil War.
Not officially a Duck or a Beaver, but there is a Beaver out there who is responsible for me being an honorary Duck. I've known him for 25 years. And this year, the icing is that some new friends (Ducks) invited me to the big game. Kind of makes me know why I like the Ducks better.
And Jack, OSU gets Nike money too. If you don't know who Charlie Parker is at Nike (CEO) and where he went to school (Oregon State), you now know. He also has been at Nike for decades.

I can't wait 'til the Ducks win next week and still fall to No. 3. That will be almost as hilarious as the players being arrested.

For all you doubters--Look how precise the BCS is:
Auburn .9779
Oregon .9777 .0002
Missed it by THAT MUCH!!!

I love the "hater" taunt. The pot calling the kettle black.

Maybe it will take another rude interview from the Ducks' Neanderthal coach on top of a close game to turn enough people off.

Maybe Kelly should invoke the My Cousin Vinny quote by Marisa Tomei.

Speaking only for myself, an appreciable part of it comes from the big money thrown at athletics at the UO, at the expense of academics and research.
Maybe they would have gotten the #1 spot if only some more cash could have been thrown their way.
