I think there's a persuasive amount of polling in the vaults to suggest that it's quite possible that Obama didn't save us from a President McCain so much as he saved us from a President Hillary. In any event, it is said that we get the politicians we deserve and in this case Thank Heavens just enough voters don't hate America enough to think that we deserved President McCain or President Hillary. Still, it's a very narrow margin: whatever the outcome of the midterms, Palin's epic presidential campaign begins in just a couple of days and she's got a pretty good shot!
