Livin' the dream

Portland city commissioner Nick Fish turns 52 today.

Happy Birthday, Nick!

There's a gift basket from Merritt Paulson waiting for you on your desk when you get back into the office.

I heard AFSCME, SEIU, and NARAL are sending buckets of union votes instead of a present this year.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, and remember: INCUMBENTS NEVER LOSE!

This apple has fallen far from the tree. Ham Fish IV, a solid Republican Rep in the Dutchess County dynasty reaching back to the early European occupation of NY, exhibited personal courage in opposing Nixon on the Vietnam war. Dissembling Nick has yet to exhibit either spleen or spine in the political arena of this frontier. There is no cause for the people of Portland to remember that he was born on the last day of September.

Thank you, Jack.

My grandfather lived to be 102. I am now offically on the back nine!

Nick

Happy Birthday Nick. For your present I am going to give a tent to a homeless person.

Nick, hope that doesn't mean it's all downhill from here!

Nick Fish - How about giving the citizens of PDX a present? Just start standing up to Sam the Tram and Randy the Bully and get Amanda to join you.

Commissioner Fish, In your dealings with Mayor Adams please start asking yourself "What would Grandfather do?"
