Just another brick in the wall
Remember those Portland police and fire pension reforms that were going to require "disabled" but able-bodied retirees to get back to work in city desk jobs, rather than running restaurants and taping drywall while collecting their city benefits? Forget it. An arbitrator says the reforms were illegal, and of course, Substitute Mayor Randy, the former firefighter's union head, is all for rolling right over.
Oh, well. Move up your predicted date for the municipal bankruptcy by a few weeks, I guess.

C.W. Jensen approves of this expenditure as well.

Big surprise, Isn't Randy still pulling disability money from the fire station? Or did that go away when he got re-certified so he could get his adorable picture in the "O" fish wrapper saving Portland standing on the rooftop.

The question is no longer if I will move out of Portland but when and which neighboring area.

"Isn't Randy still pulling disability money from the fire station?"
He gets about $50K/year plus full medical from PFDR already for life. He's just piling up PERS benes now.

Really funny, the guy could run a high-stress restaurant, no problem. But then again, he only has to find his doctor to declare him unable to work and then you can't challenge it at all.
Randy knew this all along when he helped set up PFDR during his stint in the lesgislature. Where, BTW, he got himself himself and Minnis included as eligible under the plan while serving. Special law for special people.

With all the hate for LIARS where's Tensky's comments on his buddy Leonard who he admires so much?
Perhaps he blames LIARS for this too?
