The power of courts to issue contempt rulings like this is an ongoing threat to civil liberties.
This Dad may be a first class A-hole bent on angering his ex, but that sort of motivation should not prevent him from exploring religious faith with his daughter.
This reminds me of the judge in the recent Sizemore that effectively banned him from engaging in future political speech as a consequence of past misdeeds.
Judges shouldn't feel free to crap on the First Amendment in order to drive home a point in a civil proceeding.
I wonder if the Catholic Diocese for that area will have anything to say about this situation? Growing up as a Catholic myself, I was certain we were Gods favorites but it was a secret.. It wasn't until I became an adult that I realized that my friends of other faiths were taught they were Gods favorites too and it was their secret as well.. I guess the courts decide it now. How times change..
Any body remember the South Park episode where the Mormons are the only ones in heaven and everybody else goes to hell? This story reminds me of that!
I feel sorry for the kid...she has 2 messed up parents.
