It takes two
Ron Wyden's crowing today about how he and Senator Judd Gregg from New Hampshire are going to introduce a bipartisan tax reform bill next week.
Wow, I didn't know Gregg had become a Democrat.

Well that's peachy, but I'd rather see him get behind his Oregon colleague's move to pass health care reform through reconciliation. He hasn't signed on yet.

He won't. He always has some wonderful, original idea that no one else cares about but which gives him a free pass to hold up everyone else's work. He did it with health care last summer, pretty much killing it, and now he'll do it with taxes.
The only thing he's worth a damn on is internet neutrality.
If I want a Republican to represent me, I'll vote for Huffman.

I agree, Wyden is probably the worst Democrat in the Senate now that Bayh is leaving. What I find most disturbing in this statement is the part about "avoid[ing] a partisan debate over how best to address the expiring 2001 and 2003 tax cuts." What's wrong with just letting them expire?

I've had many experiences with Wyden, He was going to allow us satellite users to pay the same as cable...never happened and the big dish owners were screwed, he was going to champion broadband for Internet users...never happened, he was all in favor of making Medicare affordable... never happened, He was going to make imported medicine free from consfication...never happened, he was going to make social security cola more fair... never happened.
All of this were guarantees and promises at his town house forums, where I spoke to him about the above, No e mail reply from him...another lying sack of...

I keep wondering why people in Oregon keep voting for this "Do Nothing" with a bad comb over. Oh, I forgot - he has a (D) after his name on the ballot!

I sent an e-mail to Wyden and the next thing I know I got an e-mail from some Republican senator....wonder if he sold my e-mail address for a profit?

In a perfect world Steve Novick would have the money and the will to run in the primary.

+1 Ray, my checkbook is begging me to write "Novick for Oregon" in the To line. Just don't know where to send it...
