'Dog dough's all gone
Just a bit of bookkeeping about our charity pro football underdog pool, just concluded. Genop's mom told us to send her third prize bucks ($45) to the other winners' no. 1 charity, which was Mercy Corps, and off it went yesterday. Congratulations to her, and we hope that all the pro football fans out there who followed our pool have a great Super Bowl Sunday.

Funny, now that the pool is done I can't manage to give a full rip either way. Part of me wants to root for NO but then I think how many a$$holes in suits all over America would start trying to claim how "The Saints healed NOLA" (and, therefore, how sports in Podunk should get public monies).
Of course, there's a clear party split with the GOP folks favoring Indianapolis, so that's a reason to want them to lose.
Maybe somebody could lose some weather balloons and they would float over the stadium and the security folks would go absolutely apes--t and evacuate the stadium and send everybody home. Now THAT would be worth watching. Otherwise, meh.
