You thought remodeling PGE Park for soccer only was odd? People, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

These certainly made me chuckle. There's nothing funny, however, about the amount of taxpayer money being shoveled at another renovation of PGE Park and a single sport with a relatively small percentage of the population who would be fans.
WHILE . . . two members of the City Council send letters to local churches and synagogues begging them to take in the homeless and care for them.
It's like the owners of a yacht asking people in a dinghy to rescue those other folks on the dissolving raft.
Priorities. Have our officials ever heard about them?
Clearly, we are not working hard enough in this fine city to have a truly unique stadium, whatever the use may be! Perhaps we should be playing soccer in Memorial Coliseum, at least partly in MC, with part of the field and stands extending to and over the river.
