Wicked stepsisters prevail

Of the 16 teams left in the NCAA men's basketball tournament, 14 of them were seeded no. 1 through 4, one was no. 5, and one was no. 12. It appears March Madness may turn out to be March Predictability this year.

Of course, not predictable by me. I expected the unexpected -- and the unfulfilled.

...but, 10 of the first 32 games were seed upsets. Kinda higher than normal. I have 14 of the Sweet 16. I might be in the money for a change.

Go Arizona!!!

Finally, besides Wake Forest, I got 15 out of 16. Probably a pyhrric victory since I picked Mich St to win it all.

I'm 12 of 16 but what do I know.
Go Memphis!

Four #1s in the Final Four last year, wasn't it? The seeding committee is doing a good job, um, seeding.

Why play the first weekend at all, then? Other than to make money, of course.

Jack,

I kind of thought that was as well, but now I think part of winning it all is making it through the early rounds, it is being able to win 6 games in 3 weeks. That si part of being the best team.

As for this year, I think the top 10-12 teams are pretty even, so the no 2 and 3 seeds all have decent shots I think, especially Memphis, Kansas and Syracuse.
