Hey, if they can get rid of long-term contracts, that is a good thing. I'm tierd of Darius Miles of Allan Houston getting paid for 7 years and doing pretty much nothing besides keeping other players out of the NBA due to salary issues.
As only a timeframe reference, the last straw for me was when we got rid of Brian Grant (for right or wrong) and ever since, I have been so "over" the NBA and what it represents, that I haven't looked back.
My negativity may have started with the Blazer shananigans but I didn't have to look far to see the insane NBA salaries and thug life and so much more that I just said goodbye...
...but even now, with, I guess, some sort of NBA rebirth (especially evident here locally with what I am told (and I agree) is a "nice" team with a GREAT GM), I still have a really bad taste in my mouth and still am finding it very hard to come back and get exited about professional basketball.
It is going to take a lot more (and it might not even be possible) to get rip city back in my heart.
