Big Brother's latest pitch

It's "for the children."

Oh I thought this was about the 'Portland Childrens' Initiative'

Patriotism has been unseated as the last refuge of scoundrels.

There's no way I know of for someone monitoring broadband use to determine the age or the sex of the person using it. So how is this related to any program promoting "proper" use by children?

It's just an excuse to snoop on "consumer" preferences and exploit them. I am convinced that any new digital televisions and converters will be set up so that they can also be accessed by those seeking to fleece or control us in new and enhanced ways.
