Only if it's done right
Here's a headline: "Proposed strip club frustrates Tualatin residents."
Well, of course. That's the whole point of those places, isn't it?

Having been to one or two of these places in the last year and a half, I can say from experience that Stars is a well run club. I've been to the location in Beaverton numerous times and the one down in Salem a couple of times as well. They have good security, keep their guests and activities under control, and write down the ID of everyone who comes in...which makes it easy for security and law enforcement to quickly dispense with the na'er-do-wells. I've never encountered an issue at either club. And believe me, I've seen things.
The club in Beaverton is located near shopping and residences. It's very similar to the proposed location in Tualatin. I expect this to be another well run location.

As a former homeowner in Tualatin, I'm sort of amazed at the public response. Especially since there is another club called JIGGLES that's been operating in Tialatin for years.

But Jiggles doesn't serve alcohol--I was frustrated by that during my last visit!!

I'd wager these residents are the same folks who will be voting "deregulation" this November. Let the market decide ... except when its something we don't like, like adult entertainment.
