The guy who won the staring contest with the Oregon Legislature over the latter's alleged copyright on the state's statutes was written up in this morning's Times.

Interestingly (well, more or less), someone named Mike Kinney has provided a copy of the 2007 ORS to be downloaded from the "applications store" for iPhones, and is charging a moderate fee of $4.99 for the download.
I discovered this while looking for an application allowing the iPhone user to download a facsimile of our beloved future mayor that loses its horrible eyeglasses when shaken (alas, this does not yet exist).
