Charlie Rangel, busted
Business as usual in the Big Apple. Actually, if this is all he's got going on the side, he's pretty tame for a New York politician.

The elite is always exempt from the rules they impose on others.

I am shocked and dismayed that Rep. Rangel would occupy two rent controlled apartments in violation of New York Law.
Those apartments could provide shelter to constituents who are currently paying as much as 3 or 4 times what Rangel is paying.
There is only one solution to this outrage: he should immediately reregister the two adjoining apartments in the name of his children, and pretend they are living with him.
It's the New York thing to do.
