Senator Ron Wyden (R-N.Y.) is crossing party lines to endorse Barack Obama.

And here I thought Ted Sorensen had retired from public life.

So Jack, why do you think Ron is R-New York?

because he fails the "safe blue state senator" leadership test, shows no spine when we need him most, gives Gordo bi-partisan photo-ops every time the GOP going gets tough, and is rumored to be spending as much or more time in NY with his new wife and kids as here in Oregon. But hey, he's friendly...

Maybe if BO picks HRC for Secretary of HHS, Ron can run for her seat and open up his seat for Steve Novick!

Then there was the time he was running around saying, "We ought to repeal the estate tax." Total Republican move.

well, not entirely. I had a cabbie a while back who was thrilled to see the "death tax" repealed. really hits the middle class hard. hah.

Not only did Wyden support repeal, he opposed an alternative that would exempt up to $100 MILLION. You know, for the farmers.
