Intermission
Driving by the little Roseway Theater at NE 72nd and Sandy yesterday, we were greatly dismayed to see the place pretty much boarded up, and "closed" signs on the marquee and door. It looks as though the shutdown is only temporary, however, which is a relief.

I read a story in some newspaper (maybe the Hollywood Star?) a few weeks ago that the theater was sold to new owners who plan to come in, fix it up and show first-run movies.

I freaked a little when I saw that a couple of weeks ago, too. But according to the barbers at Roseway barbershop accross the street, it is only temporarily closed for a remodel. I hadn't heard about the new owners, though. If so, that is too bad, the old owner was a Moyer, of Act III fame.
