Just about perfect

Today is country singer Crystal Gayle's birthday, and so I broke out this old vinyl LP from 1979:

Whoever produced this record found the absolutely perfect material for her. Call me an old sap, but if I had to name the 100 best LP's I've ever heard, so help me, this thing would make the list.

The producer was Allen Reynolds.

Well, she sure is purty.

Have you heard her sing? The voice gives me goosebumps.

"Donuts make my brown eyes blue" is my fave.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube, for a quick reference.

Wow. I completely forgot my mom played that record incessantly when I was a toddler, until I saw that record cover again... it all just came back. I remember loving every minute of it.

She's good, but I'm partial to Emmy Lou Harris.

Rowwwwrrrrr!

She is/was fantastic then puff, she was gone.

My sweet little poddle's eyes have changed color in her old age. I sing to her all the time: "Don't it make my brown eyes blue."

"I'm partial to Emmy Lou Harris."

She's got a great NEW album with Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits.
