They even knocked down Satriale's up on Kearny Avenue, just a couple of blocks from where I lived in college. Just like that -- bada boom. They whacked the place.

Yep, back in the day it was the West Hudson Auto Parts store. It is next to the Irish-American Club, which was "de-Irished" for filming and which received $100 each time for each episode in which the building appeared.

When I read "condo weasels" and "Kearny", I was thinking NW Kearney Street in Portland. Only I couldn't recall ever seeing a place called Satriale's there. I was way off.
