"Oh very young what will you leave us this time?
You're only dancing on this earth for a short while.
And while your dreams may toss and turn you now.
They will vanish away like your dad's best jeans, denim blue, fading up to the sky.
And though you want them to last forever, you know they never will,
And the patches make the journey harder still."
One of the best songs of the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens, and the lyrics get better. For those of you too young to know - look it up. Even though he espoused (now denying it) the fatwah on Salmon Rushdie, he was a great songwriter.
The baby blog could and possibly should expand the vocab and leave out the expletives.
The current paucity of language among the young is alarming...I guess we could blame the school systems.
I'm also a big Cat Stevens fan, and I love his song about the Pearl District:
Well I think its fine, building condo scams.
Or taking a ride on the aerial tram.
Use the People as a revenue machine
Yes, get what you want to if you want, cause you can get anything.
I know we're in a long way,
We're paying day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?
