More air show carnage

Events in Reno provide some additional examples of the insanity of that particular form of entertainment.

While I agree That there is Some insanity in Air craft Races May I also point out that There is a Certain Insanity in Lots of Stuff We Do Like riding Mass Transit in Portland.

As long as they don't land on the spectators I don't really care. This happened in England today:

These are experienced pilots flying well maintained high-performance aircraft under competitive conditions. These events are usually quite safe and designed so that any accidents that do take place have a "scatter pattern" that is away from spectators.

You going to ban auto races because of some statistically interesting juxtaposition of crashes?
