Obama has called for ratification of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, but I can't tell you whether that means a ban on Star Wars. He's also called for close cooperation with Russia to control their stockpile, and that isn't going to be possible without ditching Star Wars.
I both agree with puddlejumper and hope he's right. I'm leaning pretty strongly towards Obama and him advocating keeping Star Wars would be... disconcerting to say the least.
In 2004, it would have been dangerous to give Bush ammo like "he doesn't care enough to protect us from Iran's nuclear bombs." Not sure if that holds any longer, and tend to agree that people will respond positively to promises to talk, cooperate, and seek justice.
I'd reply with something like "Bush's missile defense plan is going to work like his New Orleans relief plan, his Iraq war plan, his economic plan, his health care plan, his Social security plan..."
