Eau yeah

One of the many things to love about Portland is the Clear Creek Distillery -- as today's New York Times discovers. (The apple's even better than the famous pear.)

Also mentioned today -- Portland rock band The Antecedents.

I agree with Jack that the Apple is the best. It doesn't have quite the fruity aroma of the pear but is an excellent substitute for a traditional brandy as an after dinner digestif. I have been a big fan of McCarthy brandies for years.
