Vick's been nixed by Nike
Nike has pulled all its Michael Vick products from its online store. But for now you can still see a few of them in Google caches.
Take one last look.

Good for Nike. There's a special place in hell for people who torture animals.

In my opinion, this is P.R. 101 all the way. Nike will do whatever is best for Nike. They could give a rip about the dogs as evidenced by the fact that this whole Vick dog fighting thing is old news. Nike has a long way to go before I view anything they do without a cynical filter attached.

Now that we know what "dog in the fight" truly means, how long until Lars quits using one of his signature phrases?

I heard Nike is turning over the shoes to Pet Smart for dog chewy toys.

I heard they were sending them back to China to have them retro-fitted with little pit-bull logos. Look forward to to the roll out of the "new" Vick sneakers at a dog fight near you later in the Summer to early Fall.
