That piece complements the segment Jon Stewart did last night on the Senate's bold and aggressive use of fonts the night they stayed up pretty late to do something symbolic.

As simple as the designs are, and with so few elements to screw up, it's amazing how awful they can turn out.
I can just picture the creative guys sitting in a conference room for hours with the political guys brow beating them until they come up with these.
Bierut is right. Rudy's is best by a mile, and Edwards' is a mess. Very weak design. But what do you expect with design-by-committee?

As much as I dislike Obama, I think the design of his campaign media is by far the best.
