Dudley quits

Just got an e-mail from the Portland school board that Leon Dudley is officially out as principal at Jefferson High. Is this news?

Guess it was. You read it here first.

Nice scoop, Jack. Got details?

What's his severance package? There ought-to-be-a-law about these shenanigans. I suppose he got all his pay and more for the six months he's been off. I am sure the school board will be coming to the taxpayers again for a income tax surcharge-guess how I am voting.

Well after three principles in two years maybe it's time to simply close down this poorly performing high school and transfer the students to other schools. Given the falling enrollment numbers, it might be wise to save a few dollars instead of pandering to an ever smaller number of activist parents.
