Bad Musical Moment of the Day

"Stairway to Heaven," as performed with a straight face by the University of Michigan Marching Band.

You're right, it stunk, though the Oklahoma marching band just played an upbeat version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody"

My favorite "Stairway" of all time is the madcap blend of "Stairway" and "Theme from Gilligan's Island" recorded in the mid-'70s by a Bay Area band, Little Roger and the Goosebumps. The first time I heard it (which was a live performance in Davis), I laughed so hard I cried.

As an alumnus of UM, I have to agree that "Stairway" is one of the most ridiculous performances in their repertoire. They've been doing it for years now and I don't know anyone who enjoys it.

Of course, the band played pretty well compared to the football team.

No wonder you didn't like it you DORKs!!! It was Cashmere off of Physical Grafiti, not Stairway to Heaven.

I loved it, it had that rare combination of out of tune trumpets and a lackluster undercoating of muddy bottom that reminds me of a bag of sh*t stained through a colander of mouse dung.

brilliant!

Gerry Ford rolled over twice!
