News filter

You see a news story like this, and it doesn't matter much. After a while, you become immune to such tales. These things happen all the time. You take a quick glance at the headline, and move on.

That is, unless you know one of the people on that plane. Welcome home to John and his crew.

Who's not reading these stories? Pro-war or anti-war? Or both? And which socks you (me, us) in the solar plexus hardest: That troops are fighting and dying in Iraq? Or that troops are fighting and living to come home from Iraq, but nobody's paying attention?
