I wrote about it here and here. I've got nothing more to say about it this year, but I'll never forget.
Our junior high basketball coach came in the gym and told us to go home, the president was shot. There were tears in his eyes.
Later, when my Dad came home from work, his eyes were red and sad.
We didn't just lose a president that day. The people we looked up to and relied on had lost their invulnerablity. It was very scary.

Jack: I was in the fifth grade in Killeen, Texas. It was a surreal time to hear Texas being blamed for killing the president. I watched Jack Ruby kill Oswald live on television. I am one who does not believe Oswald worked alone.

I'll never forget where I told my wife I was when it happened.
