Tidings of comfort and joy

Linda has got a great Christmas story.

I had trouble getting past the side-bar story about the doctor who proposed a resolution to the AMA that it is not unethical (except in dire emergencies) to refuse medical treatment to plaintiff's lawyers and their spouses.

Apparently moved by the Christmas spirit, he later allowed as how the part about their spouses should be removed from the proposed resolution.
