Logo-ology
Interesting op-ed in yesterday's New York Times about which presidential campaign has the better logo.
It's Bush by a landslide.

Yeah, this has been bugging me for weeks. As a designer, I cringe every time I see the Dems' logo. The way that flag just floats out there is awful. I'm actually quite surprised that the GOPers haven't made HUGE hay out of the fact that the flag is just plain WRONG on the logo. Five rows of ten stars each? Are you kidding, Lieutenant Kerry? Ugh.

For the same reasons he finds the Bush/Cheney image aggressive, masculine, and strong, I find the logo downright mean-looking. Of course, my bias is showing, but the Bush/Cheney logo looks bullying to me.
So I guess it's effective in a preaching-to-the-choir kind of way.
