Same cr*p, different week

The surging Portland Trail Blazers are now supplementing their team practices with other workouts, such as fist fights at strip clubs at 2 in the morning.

I remember when every Portland sports fan's nightmare was what would happen if the Blazers left town. I have now come around to where I would welcome it.

There will always be room for at least one big-league sports franchise in Portland, if not two. It doesn't have to be this one.

3:35 AM? Who won the fight? Tee hee hee.

I'm with you.

I formerly thought bringing Major League Baseball to Pdx was something we just didn't have the funding for. I now think we should ship the Blazers out and bring baseball in. The city can afford one sport, and for my money bets are on that baseball wouldn't bring as much juvinile controversy. I'm sure it sould still bring some, but certainly not as juvinile.

Besides I would much rather be outside on a sunny day smelling a freshly mowed grass field and eating hot peanuts than inside a smelly stadium jostling for a beer.

As for the winter months it might be a boon for the Arts, as there would be nothing else to do except museums, theatre, and film.

Bring Major League Baseball to Portland! (After dumping the Blazers elsewhere)
