In the mailbag
A good, old friend who shall remain nameless writes in:
Hey — no baseball on the eastside. Put it in Beaverton, where people already have no expectation of being able to get from one place to another.Actually I want them to suspend flights at the airport, which already has open space, mass transportation, plenty of parking and bad fast food, and put up an inflatable ball field. It won't cost much and when the team goes broke next year we can sell the inflatable to south america for soccer riots.

Great warning here [http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=ratto_ray&id=1604113] about the dangers a municipality risks when they go into the stadium-promising buisness.
