Enjoy a lovely mindscrew from the Port of Portland

The Goldschmidt People running the port are big protectors of the environment. Sure. Sure they are.

Then they must be against fluoride in our drinking water if they are "protectors of the environment, lol.

provides habitat for more than 100 species of birds

Heck, we saw nearly 120 species in our back yard at our former property, including a family of quail. Great for mammals, to - beavers moved in back there and built a dam (which probably wasn't up to BES code).

We left about a year after Portland BES slapped an "environmental overlay" on the place and sent us about 200 pages of regulations, among which were the granting of themselves unannounced access to our land at any time, denying us the right to maintain our vegetable garden because those are non-native species, and more.

We managed our back yard for wildlife for a decade, removing blackberries and leaving snags for woodpeckers, etc. - and suddenly they decided that they would dictate to us. So we peddled the place and left.
