Portland tax money at work! Hard work! The city that works, and gets paid a living wage, and 80s style healthcare benes, and full healthcare in retirement, and a huge PERS pension for me and my spouse until death.
Whew...it was HARD WORK posting to facebook today while working for the city of Portland. Vote YES on tax increases, you cannot live without my facebook postings on the city dole!!!

Apparently so broke they couldn't keep the Fulton Community Center open.
Wonder if they posted a photo of the grand Sequoia tree that was cut in Pier Park?

Ha ha! In Lake O, all the city departments "like" one another. Evidently each department has their own Facebook page, and then they take time to mutually massage their egos on their sites. BTW - the City has its own website where people go for information too, so redundantcy is built in to the system. Guess the young'uns can't find the city site, and they can't comment and leave affirmations either.

In related points, I've noticed the current crash in "social media director" positions among various businesses. From what I can gather, companies that were big on jumping into setting up a presence on Facebook and Twitter are discovering that the actual business they draw is miniscule compared to the cost of keeping a 22-year-old communications major on the payroll to tweet all day. Flashbacks of the big Web boom nearly twenty years ago, isn't it?
