More public money for "green" jobs

A "public-private partnership"... with lottery funds... for electric cars! What's not to like? Here's another $180,000 out the door. And hey, Dave Frohnmayer's kid gets a piece of the action -- for three-wheelers! The planet is saved.

Love the "strict Conflict of Interest Policy".

" And hey, Dave Frohnmayer's kid gets a piece of the action -- for three-wheelers!"

From Arcimoto's web page:

"Arcimoto has been seed funded through the development of the SRK product prototype by its founder, angel investors and public support from local government agencies."

From Arcimoto's blog:

"In related government news, Arcimoto partnered with Barefoot Motors to lobby successfully to include electric vehicle and EV component manufacture in the Oregon Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC)."

The Truth About Cars, 2009:

"“Arcimoto isn’t just building a car,” claimed former Senate candidate Steve Novick, “they’re saving the salmon and saving Oregon’s agriculture.” There was talk of Arcimoto’s contribution to Oregon’s “green economy,” and Portland Mayor Sam Adams said he would “rub [The Pulse] in the face of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom.” (Apparently the two are involved in some sort of EV accumulation contest.)"

OREGON: sustainably protecting nepotism and graft for future generations.

An open air, three wheel "motorcycle" that goes 40 miles on a charge, and then needs to be recharged again for 6-8 hours. And that's the wave of the future in auto technology? Yeah right.

"“Arcimoto isn’t just building a car,” claimed former Senate candidate Steve Novick, “they’re saving the salmon and saving Oregon’s agriculture.”

Novick supports fluoride in our water, how can he justify that would be good for the salmon and our agriculture?

You gotta love the $public->$private transfer around these parts, er, I meant the public-private partnership, especially since results are apparently not important. (Vestas, Solopower, how many others?)

Where do I get in line?

Monte Shelton has a 100 year old electric car that will out perform that Arcimoto

I have a feeling that every grifter west of the Mississippi has figured out that Portland is run by a worthless bunch of morons who are willing to fork over cash to anyone who whispers "green" in their ear.

Why just grifters west of the Mississippi?
